Obviously, the actor needs a good headshot portraits because probably he/she will get the interview through a great headshot photography. Life in show business is too competitive for ordinary headshots. Some miami photographers think that 3/4 shot is better than headshots, but it is not true. Both are useful for different applications. At our Miami portrait studio, we use the latest technology in digital photography, so you can take a 3/4 shot and crop to the necessary headshot.
The marketplace is plenty of many different kinds of photographers to do good headshots. Basically there are two groups of photographers: the Fashion/Print photographers, who specializing in shooting models for the fashion industry, and the Theatrical/Headshot photographers, who specialize in Hollywood style photography for performing artists. But is easy to find actors having their headshots done by fashion photographers who know nothing about what the typical actor requires. At our Kendall photo studio, we offer a non-compromise appointment to see our books and our art gallery. When you visit us or speak with our photographer in person, it will help you to have a rapport with them.
In Today's economy, price is an important thing to consider. Most aspiring actors who are starting their careers has limited budget for promotion. Even when you could go with the cheapest actor headshot photographer you could find, you could also be throwing away your entire acting career. But not always "You get what you pay for." Some actors spend exorbitant amounts of money on "Super-photographers" only to see their expensive headshots at the director's trash can.At Kendall Portraits we virtually guarantee that cost doesn't really mean much, quality does. We use digital test shots prior to shooting. We would ever take a headshot for actors without them. You can see your new headshots in seconds.
At Kendall Portraits lighting is the single, most important element in creating a great photograph. If the lighting isn't perfect, your photograph will suffer. There's a huge difference between Natural light and a Professional Studio Lighting System, and when compared with a good studio shot, there is no comparison. So why do so many headshot photographers shoot with natural light?. The mainly reason is because they either cannot afford to buy the expensive equipment required to take great photographs, or they simply don't know how to use studio lighting. It takes an enormous amount of time, money, and experience to use studio lighting effectively. Simply compare a headshot done with natural light, beside one done with studio lighting. Everything being equal, studio shots are vastly superior to those done with daylight only. Just ask anyone who is sensitive to bright sunlight, or someone who has roasted under a blistering summer sun. And just try to shoot your next headshot in the dead of night, It just isn't possible using natural light. When it comes to creating dramatic, reliable results, studio lighting wins, period.
We try to eliminate the inevitable confusion that most actors encounter while choosing a competent headshot photographer, by utilizing the only tried-and-true method of determining a photographer's ability side-by-side comparison.
